Disney's fan-focused event, D23, isn't just for films and television content; Disney Experiences are a focus, too. This year's convention has come with some exciting updates for all of the parks. During the Horizons: Disney Experiences Showcase panel, information regarding the design, construction, and location of future parks content were revealed in a fair bit of detail. A boatload of announcements were made for the United States and around the world, so here are some of the most exciting highlights.

The Indiana Jones-themed ride in Animal Kingdom at the Walt Disney World Resort has been named Indiana Jones and the Myth of the Jade Serpent. It is aiming for a 2027 opening. The Encanto (2021)-themed attraction’s name is Antonio’s Fiesta de Encanto, and it will be a multi-level ride with no height requirements. Disney California Adventure at the Disneyland Resort has an opening window of 2028 for its Avengers Campus Expansion plan. The Star Wars-themed Hyperspace Mountain at Disneyland Paris will be reverted to Space Mountain, bringing back the classic design. Hyperspace Mountain will close at the end of 2027.

Attractions come to life with the music and voices behind them. The Carousel of Progress at Walt Disney World is being reimagined, and Jamie Lee Curtis and Bryan Cranston have been named as the Mother and Father voice actors, respectively. Harrison Ford is stepping into the role of Indiana Jones again for the character’s Animal Kingdom ride, though the details have not been released yet. The Avengers Infinity Defense addition to the Avengers Campus at California Adventure in Disneyland will bring Jeremy Renner, Anthony Mackie, Chris Hemsworth, Robert Downey, Jr., and Iman Vellani to voice their on-screen characters.

Finally, you can't have a Disney park and not mention the animatronics. Disney World’s Animal Kingdom is the star of the show right now, as Expedition Everest is being touched up. The Yeti animatronic will move for the first time in years following repairs. Disneyland will be getting a new ride set after the events of Coco (2017), according to the concept art revealed in the panel. This ride will include a boat component that currently features a skeleton ensemble of animatronics. Tokyo Disneyland will be gaining a sweet treat with the addition of the Wreck-It Ralph (2012) ride Sugar Rush: Sweet Rescue, and it will be using animatronics. A massive Ralph animatronic was shown, holding Vanellope’s racing cart.
