The 77th Emmy Awards brought a fair bit of success for HBO and HBO Max, both entities tallying 30 wins altogether. Following the ceremony, Max and HBO content chairman Casey Bloys spoke to Variety about the future. In this talk, Bloys provided a release update for Game of Thrones spin-off A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. The series previously had a release window of 2025, and while fans will have to wait a bit longer for the series, the wait may not be too extensive.
When questioned about a new release window for the series, Bloys got more specific than a general season or quarter. He teased, “I’m going to say January. How about that?” The original release window was for late 2025. Should the 2026 timing remain true, this both kicks off the year with the series and puts its release date firmly in the winter television season.
