Season Three of Percy Jackson and the Olympians has two new stars joining its season three cast. Dafne Keen (Star Wars: The Acolyte, His Dark Materials, Logan) has signed on to play the Goddess of the Hunt, Artemis. And Saara Chaudry, best known for her critically acclaimed performance in The Breadwinner, will be playing Zoë Nightshade, Artemis’s first lieutenant. In the books, Saara Chaudry’s character was the maker of Percy Jackson’s sword, Riptide.
Dafne Keen and Saara Chaudry will not be the only newbies on set. At San Diego Comic-Con over the summer, Disney announced that Olive Abercrombie (as Bianca) and Levi Chrisopulos (as Nico) would be playing the children of Hades.
Percy Jackson and the Olympians is rumored to be based on Rick Riordan’s third book, The Titan’s Curse. The plot is darker than previous entries and very action-packed. Disney has their work cut out for it to cram it all in. Filming has just started (August 2025). After the two-year delay of Season 2, Disney is likely to want a quick turnaround, so production can move onto Seasons 4 & 5, before the actors start to age out of their respective roles. But so far it all sounds as if it’s running smoothly, so hopefully we’ll see some set pictures soon!
