Last year’s surprise hit Netflix original animated movie, KPop Demon Hunters, about a world-renowned K-Pop girl group who fight demons in the shadows take on a demonic K-Pop boy group, made K-Pop history by spawning a Grammy-award winning single for this year’s award ceremony. The award-winning song, "Golden", which was introduced in the smash film, ironically, as the latest hit single from the fictional three-member K-Pop band and group of demon hunters, Huntr/x, has become the first K-Pop song ever to win a Grammy to date.

"Golden" not only won the Grammy for best song for visual media, but it was also nominated for best song of the year. The soundtrack to KPop Demon Hunters, full of K-Pop goodness, also has the unofficial honor of being the first soundtrack to top the Billboard charts since Disney’s Encanto in 2022.

"Golden" was performed by K-Pop stars, EJAE (Rumi), Rei Ami (Zoey), and Audrey Nuna (Mira). 2026 was a big year for other K-Pop artists as well, including nominations for BLACKPINK singer, ROSE, for her single with Bruno Mars, APT, and the K-Pop-inspired girl group, KATSEYE.
