Achieving critical acclaim and chart success, The Incredibles remains one of his most beloved works. Giacchino would go on to become a Pixar regular, with his scores for Ratatouille and Up earning him multiple award nominations. He won an Academy Award, a Golden Globe, a BAFTA, and a Grammy for Up. Giacchino is also known for his frequent collaborations with prominent blockbuster filmmakers, including Brad Bird (The Incredibles), J.J. Abrams (Star Trek), and Matt Reeves (The Batman). Michael Giacchino made his debut in the MCU with Scott Derrickson’s Doctor Strange, which was deemed a major highlight by critics and fans alike. He then went on to score Jon Watts’ entire trilogy of Spider-Man films starring Tom Holland. Giacchino’s other MCU scores include Taika Waititi’s Thor: Love and Thunder (which he co-scored alongside Nami Malumad), Matt Shakman’s The Fantastic Four: First Steps, and the acclaimed Disney+ Halloween special Werewolf by Night, which Giacchino also directed.
